Apostrophe Academy's editorial policy
This page explains how the educational content on the Apostrophe Academy site is written, who writes and reviews it, how figures, dates and policies are verified, and what happens when an official source changes. The aim is simple: a student should be able to see where every fact came from and when it was last checked.
Who writes the content
Every educational page on this site is written and reviewed by the Apostrophe Academy academic team — the team that teaches the programs and works on students' applications. We do not publish names, titles or qualifications we cannot evidence, so content is attributed to the team, which is the party genuinely responsible for producing and reviewing it.
Official sources first
Anything that can change — a test date, a fee, a required score, a registration policy, an admission requirement — is taken from the body that owns the exam or from the university itself, never from an intermediary site or a summary published elsewhere.
- SAT: College Board and the official Bluebook app.
- TOEFL: ETS and the official TOEFL iBT pages.
- IELTS: ielts.org and the official test centres in Saudi Arabia (British Council and IDP).
- Universities: the university's own website and its admissions, fees and scholarship pages.
- Saudi regulations and recognition: the relevant official Saudi government bodies.
Verification and dates
We record the source link and the verification date with every time-sensitive fact, and we show the publication date and the last updated date on the page. We do not change dates to make a page look newer: the updated date changes only when the content itself has actually changed.
What is original in our content
Figures and policies come from the official source; the explanation is ours: how to read the information, what it means for a student in Saudi Arabia or the GCC, the practical steps, and the recurring mistakes we see in class and in application files. We do not paraphrase College Board, ETS, IELTS or university pages, or competitors' content, and we do not mass-produce near-identical pages for search engines.
Arabic and English
Content is published in Arabic and English at the same depth: sections, examples, sources, FAQs and dates match in both languages. The Arabic version is not an abridged translation, and the content system itself does not allow a page to be published in only one language.
Corrections and updates
We monitor the exams' official pages on a schedule. When something changes at the source, we identify the affected pages, correct the Arabic and English versions together, and update the last updated and verification dates. If you find an error, tell us and we will correct it and show the correction date.
What we do not publish
We do not publish statistics, success rates, student numbers or prices we cannot evidence, invented testimonials, or partnerships, accreditations or official relationships that do not exist. We claim no status granted by Google. Where a figure is not available from an official source, we say so and point the student to the responsible body.
Use of AI tools
We may use assistive tools for research and for organising drafts, but every page is published only after human review by the academic team: each figure checked against the official source, and the explanation, examples and Saudi/GCC context added. Any draft that fails source verification is not published.

Educational content writing and review
The Apostrophe Academy academic team is the same team that teaches the center's SAT, IELTS, TOEFL and English programs and works on students' university applications. The educational content on this site is written from that direct experience with students in Saudi Arabia and the GCC: the questions they actually ask, the mistakes that keep recurring, and the steps that work in preparation and applications.
