Direct answers
Direct answers on the cost of the SAT
We state no figures here: fees are set in US dollars by College Board and change, and the Saudi riyal amount depends on the exchange rate on the payment day.
How much does the SAT cost?
The cost of the SAT is a base registration fee, plus a regional fee for students outside the United States, plus any optional fees such as changing your date or centre or sending extra score reports.
This is why two students on the same date pay differently: one registered early with no changes, the other switched centre and sent scores to extra universities.

What does the SAT cost in Saudi riyals?
Official fees are quoted in US dollars, and the amount debited in Saudi riyals depends on the exchange rate and the conversion fees your bank or card applies on the payment day.
Important exception: Before paying, confirm your card supports international USD payments, because a declined transaction after selecting a seat can mean losing it.
Are there fees beyond registration?
Yes: common optional fees include changing your date or centre, late registration when available, and sending extra score reports beyond those included.
Most of these are avoidable with planning: register early and finalise your university list before the test so scores are sent once.
How much does SAT preparation at Apostrophe cost?
Preparation cost at Apostrophe is set in Saudi riyals after a readiness assessment, because the number of hours and the type of programme depend on the student's level and target score.
Test fees are paid directly to College Board and are entirely separate from any preparation cost. You can find out your programme cost during the free academic consultation.
Why the amount in Saudi riyals varies
Fees are updated officially and charged in US dollars, and the final riyal amount depends on the exchange rate and your bank or card fees. That is why we show the official dollar figures with a last-checked date and point you to the official fees page at the time of registration.
Extra costs students overlook
- Travel and accommodation if the center is in another city
- Retaking on a later date if the target score is not reached
- Additional score reports when applying to several universities
- Preparation itself, which is entirely separate from College Board fees
Preparation cost with Apostrophe
Our preparation programmes are built around the student's level after a readiness assessment, so scope and cost in Saudi riyals are set during the free academic consultation rather than shown as a fixed advertised price.
